Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use apply to the South Dade Toastmasters Club website at southdtm.org, including the members-only area and any recordings, files, or resources we share with members. By using the site, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Media Recording and Public Use Acknowledgement. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About the Club and this website

South Dade Toastmasters Club is a volunteer-run, nonprofit club chartered by Toastmasters International. This website is operated by the Club, not by Toastmasters International.

The information on this website is for the sole use of Toastmasters’ members, for Toastmasters business only. It is not to be used for solicitation and distribution of non-Toastmasters material or information.

Member accounts

Access to the members-only area is limited to current Club members approved by Club officers. You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity under your account. Please tell us promptly at admin@southdtm.org if you believe your account has been used without permission. Access may end when your membership ends.

Members-only content

Meeting recordings, the member directory, evaluation forms, and other members-only materials are provided for your personal use as a Club member. You agree not to:

• Share recording links, Drive folder links, or login access with anyone outside the Club.

• Download, repost, or redistribute recordings of other members without their permission.

• Copy, export, or share the member directory or other members’ contact details, or use them for anything other than Club-related purposes.

Acceptable use

We expect everyone using the site to act in keeping with Toastmasters’ values of integrity, respect, service, and excellence. You agree not to use the site to harass, threaten, or demean others; post unlawful, offensive, or misleading content; send spam or promote commercial products, services, or causes unrelated to Toastmasters; or attempt to interfere with the site’s security or access areas you are not authorized to use.

Content you share

If you post content on the site, such as comments, photos, or files in the members area, you keep ownership of it. You give the Club permission to display and use it for Club purposes. Photos and recordings from meetings and events are covered by our Media Recording and Public Use Acknowledgement. Club officers may remove any content that does not follow these terms.

Trademarks and intellectual property

The Toastmasters International name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of Toastmasters International and are used under its policies. Educational materials from Toastmasters International belong to Toastmasters International. Other content created by the Club remains the property of the Club or its original creators.

Third-party services and links

The site uses and links to services run by others, such as Wix, Google Drive, Google Meet, social media platforms, and Toastmasters International. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and the Club is not responsible for them.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

This website is maintained by volunteers and is provided "as is." We do our best to keep information accurate and the site available, but we make no guarantees that it will be error-free, secure, or always available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Club and its officers and volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or its content.

Suspension of access

Club officers may suspend or remove access to the members area for anyone who violates these terms or whose membership has ended.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
